MY ROLE AS A CELEBRANT

I graduated from the Celebrant School [NZ] in 2012 and have been involved in creating many ceremonies since then.

I completed my training as an Interfaith Minister with the OneSpirit Interfaith/Interspiritual Seminary in New York and was Ordained in 2018.

This knowledge and experience adds a richness and depth to my skill as Celebrant.

Other important rituals are Crossroads and Transitional rituals that are significant, a new career, leaving a home, coming of age, something that may be potent for you that you wish to be witnessed and grounded.

REVIEW FROM NEAL & OLLIE

We were so lucky to have John celebrating our very spontaneous wedding. We had literally three days from decision to wedding and a little time to plan the wedding the ceremony and celebration.

John was a major help, from eliciting our most important values and wishes for the ceremony, to helping us with strategies for how to come up with our vows. He then elegantly wove and structured that together into a two hour ceremony and was able to improvise on the spot incorporating planned and spontaneous offerings from the attending friends as well as engaging with the whole crowd.

All of us laughed and cried in equal measure and it made for a stress free and perfect wedding that was excellently and gently held by John.

In December 2019 I co-faciltated the Acknowledgement Gathering for Margaret Jefferies who had been an inspiring leader in our Lyttleton community. We held this gathering a month before Margaret Died. It was an intentional saying goodbye and to share stories - speaking from our hearts to share our grief and acceptance. A powerful and tender ceremony that gave Margaret the space to share her own love and appreciation for the community she had lived with .

From Melanie Jane and Owen . thankyou for your very thoughtful and caring preparation and delivery of the service on Friday .

I wanted to say I thought your words were superbly crafted and really captured the essence of Brian and the family and the reverence of the celebration .

I could feel the whole time the service was held so gently ,but securely grounded by your calm, powerful presence. .I also really appreciate your invitation to me to place Brian's ashes on the table and light the candle -this was a truly special moment for me !

We have been blessed indeed to have you with us on our Journey .
